Lesley Johnston
From 1993-2001 Lesley Johnston ran the Courtyard Gallery in Crail with her husband, George Gilbert. At the exhibition she will be displaying two evocative portrait works.
Of her work, Lesley says: "It is only in recent years that I have had the opportunity to make a serious attempt to revive my interest in drawing and painting. Initially trying some family portraits, I became fascinated by the endless variety of humankind and in particular by the facial expressiveness of characters both posed and glimpsed unawares in street cafes and markets."
