Kim Canale (Duncan of Jordanstone College)
Kim graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of art and design, in 2001. After exhibiting in several galleries, she began freelancing as a design consultant, which took her to Russia, France, Italy and New York. In 2002 she became a postgraduate student studying on the Masters of Fine Art programme at Duncan of Jordanstone, ending Dec 2003. Her practice is visually led encompassing painting, photography, film and text. She collaborated with the influential Italian artist Mauro Betti, and exhibited with Galleria Tornabuoni in Florence in June 2010. She has continued to paint and exhibit her work in the UK, Italy and Dubai. Kim is the Director of the WALL PROJECTS gallery in Montrose. She will be curating an art exhibition for the Ullapool Book Festival in May, 'Where the Sky meets the Sea'.
